Are my documents secure? Does Utilitly store my PDFs?

It depends on the tool, and each tool page says which applies. Twenty-two of the 26 tools run entirely in your browser, so the file never leaves your device — merging, splitting, rotating, watermarking, page numbers, the editor, signature stamping, password-protecting and unlocking, and all the image tools work this way. Four cannot be done in a browser and send your file over an encrypted connection to a processing service: Compress PDF, PDF to Office, Office to PDF and Advanced OCR.

Are there any daily caps or usage limits on processing?

There are no daily usage caps or limits on our free and basic tools-you can process as many PDFs as you want. However, tools like AI Author, Text Editor, and advanced formatting tools are only available for pro users.
